My exported CSV opens with garbled characters in Excel — what should I do?
That happens when a CSV is saved as UTF-8 but Excel assumes another encoding, which is common in non-English locales. We generate UTF-8 files with a byte-order mark so Excel detects the encoding correctly. You can also open the file through Data > From Text/CSV in Excel and select UTF-8, or simply choose the Excel (.xlsx) export, which never has this problem.
Why do I see duplicate rows after merging multiple exports?
GSC aggregates can be double-counted when the same combination of dimensions appears in overlapping exports — for example, one export grouped by query and another grouped by page.
